What is your Self-Concept? Your self-concept is your beliefs about yourself. Examples are:
- I am worthy
- I am successful
- I am intelligent
- I am amazing
- I am healthy
- I am physically fit
- I am attractive
- I am chosen
- I am good enough
- I am kind
- I am patient
- I am highly valued for my skills and experience
- I am strong
Basically, your Self-Concept is who you believe you are. Now, the examples above are positive beliefs about yourself, however, you may say those things, but your actions and inner conversations may be the total opposite or contradictory. Be very aware of this so you can change your actions and inner conversations to match your positive affirmations.
Here is an example: You may say have the self-concept that you are attractive but when you see another person who you think is beautiful you tell yourself; "Wow! She's gorgeous. I wish I were that beautiful." While its good to acknowledge someone else as attractive it is not supporting your self-concept when you state "I wish I were that beautiful."
Another example would be to state you feel abundant and prosperous yet when you see something you want but state; "That's just too expensive" that's not supporting your self-concept. A supportive response would be to say; "I really like that! It has my name!"
In wanting to be successful at manifesting, you must first work on your self-concept. If you have any limiting beliefs your subconscious will push them out and it will affect what you want to manifest. Everyone and everything you see is just a reflection of your thoughts and beliefs. Your thoughts create and that's what makes you very powerful!
